TWO written questions on the welfare of horses submitted to the European Parliament by the British National Party’s member of the European Parliament for Yorkshire & the Humber, have received a reply this afternoon.
New service will conduct foreign policy over the heads of member states

YESTERDAY in the European Parliament there was a debate on the European External Action Service in the European Parliament.
The European External Action Service is also called the ‘External Service’ and will take effect once the Treaty of Lisbon is ratified. It will become the Foreign Office and Diplomatic Corps for the European Union assisting the new combined High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.

ANDREW Brons MEP has made a contribution to the debate during a joint meeting of three committees of the European Parliament. After the Commission of the European Parliament and Council issued a communication on Freedom, Security and Justice, the AFCO Committee, the LIBE Committee and the JURI Committee met to discuss the new proposals.

Andrew Brons has received an answer to his written question on the European Arrest Warrant. Last month he asked the European Parliament: “Will it be possible for a person to be extradited from a country for an act that is not an offence in that country to a second country in which the act is an offence?”
