EDWARD McMillan Scott (left) is a Vice-President of the European Parliament and one of Britain’s most senior MEPs. He was elected to represent the people of Yorkshire and the Humber as a Conservative, but was expelled from the Party for voicing his concerns about the Tories’ European partners, saying that he was unhappy with their extremist links.

IN Brussels this morning, at a meeting of the Constitutional Affairs which was debating whether a change to a uniform voting system would increase voter turn-out in European Elections, Andrew Brons told those in attendance that it was disillusionment with the European Union that was responsible for the lack of enthusiasm for the elections.

After the Commission of the European Parliament and Council issued a communication on Freedom, Security and Justice, the AFCO Committee, the LIBE Committee and the JURI Committee met to discuss the new proposals.
