They are sneaky, just a made up story can be read by millions, it doesn't have to be true because millions will see it and assume it is and form an opinion.

What criteria does the European Parliament use to decide if a country is to be subjected to a Resolution, criticising the human rights abuses in that country?
Mr Brons is quite right to take issue with the hypocrisy of the EU, and opt not to display the same double standards.
There are many other countries around the globe that have far worse human rights abuses than Cuba. Why not mark them out for a resolution, (even a hypocritical one!)?

Andrew, brilliant reply, but these reporters really are the bottom of the barrel.
I read the article, and considering that you have only been in the EU for about 8 months, how ludicrous to expect you to publish your expenses already.
Even the Inland Revenue give people 6 months to file their returns, and that is after 1 year.
As for auditors refusing to sign accounts off, they're hardly likely to want to ditch a good customer are they.
Accounts for year 2008, have to be filed 10 months after year end, but the article is written trying to suggest they are 14 months late.
I am an accountant, and I can tell you that only about 50% of accounts are filed on time, for numerous different reasons.
You and Nick are like a breath of fresh air where UK politicians are concerned.

A well written and truthful answer to this rag Mr Brons – their spiteful rants fall down every time the idiots!!!

What I would REALLY like to see published though would be the EU`s audited accounts, just for curiosity`s sake you understand, one would think that they were non-existant after eight years no-show

I do not know if this is the same story as that which appears today in the Spectator and the on-line edition of the Telegraph, but it certainly looks like it. If you are not obliged to do anything other than to keep the records which you do keep, then what is it that other Parties have done but you haven't?
This story must be crushed at once. I don't need to tell you of the damage it will do if (when)it gets into the popular right wing press.
