The Irish vote tells you this, as someone said after the results came in from the recent Irish referendum "Can we make it a best of three?" Yes you may laugh at that but it really does show up the ridiculousness of the whole thing. So this is EU democracy at work = "keep having referendums until we get the answer we want, after which the voting stops and we move on to the next country". Double standards all the way with the pro-European Unionists, they are not interested in democracy and try every trick in the book to circumvent it if it disagrees with their ideology.
