YESTERDAY in the European Parliament there was a debate on the European External Action Service in the European Parliament.
The European External Action Service is also called the ‘External Service’ and will take effect once the Treaty of Lisbon is ratified. It will become the Foreign Office and Diplomatic Corps for the European Union assisting the new combined High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.

ANDREW Brons MEP has made a contribution to the debate during a joint meeting of three committees of the European Parliament. After the Commission of the European Parliament and Council issued a communication on Freedom, Security and Justice, the AFCO Committee, the LIBE Committee and the JURI Committee met to discuss the new proposals.
