Blair is not fit for any post in authority

A CONSTITUENT from Hebden Bridge has written to Andrew Brons MEP expressing her disquiet over the possibility of Tony Blair becoming the next ‘President of Europe’.
She wrote:
“I am unhappy at the suggestion made by Glenys Kinnock that Tony Blair would be a suitable candidate for the Presidency of Europe, should that position materialise.
“Tony Blair defied the European Union and allied himself to George Bush, leading Britain into an illegal and immoral war.
“He deceived the British Parliament and his actions have led to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis.
“Under his watch, Britain abandoned its high principles and condoned acts of torture and he has been ineffectual in his role in the ‘Peace Ambassador’ in the Middle East.
“His only resounding success has been in the field of self-aggrandisement.
“Tony Blair is unfit to represent the people of Europe, commanding little respect outside the Westminster village and the ivory towers inhabited by the likes of the Neil and Glenys Kinnock.
“I have no means of communicating with Mrs Kinnock so would you be kind enough to in some way represent my objections to her suggestion to her.
Chris Beverley, PA and Constituency Manager for Andrew, responded to the lady concerned.
“Andrew wholeheartedly agrees with you that Tony Blair is entirely unsuitable for the post of ‘President of Europe’.
“In fact he said he would go further and propose that he is not fit for any kind of authority whatsoever following his disastrous spell as Prime Minister, and in particular his decision to send young British servicemen and women to their deaths in an entirely unjustifiable war.
“Andrew will make your views known to Mrs Kinnock at the earliest opportunity.”
